This is a great resource to use as a spotting guide for sea life in the Monterey Bay area. There are two different ways to view the data:
- View by Habitats: Want to know what kinds of life you will encounter in a kelp forest? This view gives a cross section of plants, sea creatures and birds you will see there.

- View by Inhabitants: Look here for a particular fish, plant, invertebrate, or bird regardless of habitat.

College credit for PADI courses
If you are working on an Associate or a Bachelor’s degree, your school may accept PADI certifications for recreational/physical education credits. The following PADI website has information on it:
http://www.padi.com/padi/en/footerlinks/collegecreditsace.aspx
So if you go from Open Water to Rescue, you get three semester units... so one PE course credit....one more class you don't have to take at school.
